Why these colors?

The colors you see (crimson and white) have much significance. Crimson is referred to as sin. In the book of Isaiah chapter 1 verse 18, the prophet Isaiah wrote that the sins of humanity are like crimson. What does that mean? In the context of Isaiah 1:18, crimson represents contamination, a deep stain. Sin is like a crimson stain, indicative of blood guilt. Sin has contaminated the blood of humanity which makes humanity impure beings, therefore, we need cleansed.

What then can cleanse our sin? According to God’s law, the shedding of blood cleanses and forgives sin. Since the blood of humanity is contaminated, what blood can forgive sin? The blood must be pure, without defect and contamination. This is where the color white comes in to play. By the grace of God, we can be cleansed through faith in Jesus Christ. According to scripture, Jesus lived a holy, sinless life; meaning the blood of Jesus is pure and without contamination. Through the blood of Jesus that was shed, faith in Him forgives and washes away the crimson stain of sin.

Through Jesus you are cleansed from sin. The prophet Isaiah says, “they shall be as white as snow;” The color white symbolizes purification; the perfect blood of Jesus purifies you. SendItForJesus believes in the power of the blood of Jesus. Only through Him can one be cleansed from the guilty crimson stain of sin.
